Lets pretend the US were still in Afghanistan, would it be likely that Russia would arm the Taliban with something like stingers? If you know there is a proxywar with Russia coming, wouldn't it be better to pull out of Afghanistan before?

Thank you for this illuminating, but for Europeans (especially Ukrainians) very sombre, interview. What I miss is a review of the Western handling of the defeated, humilated and chaotic Russian Federation after the implosion of the Soviet Union, as the basic origin of this horrendous war. Instead of attempting to build an European security structure including Russia, the West has, under U.S. pressure and against so-called 'not one inch' promises, steadily expanded NATO (and the EU) towards Russia's borders. This culminated in the offering of future NATO membership to Ukraine and Georgia at the NATO-top in Bucharest in 2008. This was done by Pres. Bush Jr. against the express views of i.a. Germanyy, France, Netherlands, his own SecState, and many outside experts. The then SG NATO, De Hoop Scheffer, later in a tv-interview said that NATO should not have crossed Poetin's red line, and that he saw Russia's invasions of Georgia (2008) and the Crimian (2014) as a direct result of that reckless decision. www.rtl.nl/buitenland/artikel/3795256/jaap-de-hoop-scheffer-navo-had-rode-lijn-van-poetin-moeten-accepteren?redirect=rtlnieuws Now, once again after GWOT, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, America's NATO allies are being dragged into an avoidable, illegal and/or potentially catastrophic counterproductive war. Like the war in the Middle East, America 'fueled the fire' in Europe: foreignpolicy.com/2024/04/15/middle-east-war-crisis-biden-america-iran-israel/ When these two wars amalmagate, we are sleepwalking into WW3. When will diplomacy prevail over militarization in the U.S.? In the meantime I concur with Stephen M. Walt: 'NATO Should Not Accept Ukraine-for Ukraine’s Sake The top five reasons that expanding the Western alliance would make Kyiv even worse off.' foreignpolicy.com/2024/03/05/nato-ukraine-membership-russia-war-west/

I think college should be free because. It can motivate people that go to public school specifically to keep going because they can have free college but even if college isn't free it should have a "trial" for college and see if they should go and if they do they can start getting money if they haven't been saving already.

Additionally: 1. Karabagh was and its part of internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan, which was main and the only reason why international community was in Azerbaijan side 2. UN SC adopted 4 resolutions to withdraw armenian forces out of Azerbaijan soil. But despite of Minsk group mediators efforts - armenia occupied Azerbaijan lands till 2020, when Azerbaijan forcefully liberated own lands 3. Azerbaijan is VERY rich with natural resouces, particularly with oil and gas. and Azerbaijan signed contracts with WESTERN companies to produce and transport energy to world market....whereas, Armenian economy fully belongs to russian companies.

It will be good to invite Azerbaijan experts as well to have fair and honest discussion free of following false statements: 1. Russia was supporting Armenia during 1990s which was may reason of Azerbaijan losses. The main reason was democratic government (Elchibey) in Azerbaijan early 1990s which kicked out russian army forces out of Azerbaijan. FYI - Armenia still in russian lead CSTO and has 2 russian army basis....Azerbaijan doesn't have any foreign army basis since 1992. 2. Russia was supplying weapons FREE of charge to Armenia; whereas, Azerbaijan - was buying it at full market price.

"Racist or Classist, what ever that is." Um... if you are pretending to not know what it means to be classist and you are in a position to affect 5-10 billions of dollars and calling that "Not a substantial amount of money." You are engaging in class war and you have immediately failed in your argument. That man, Richard Vedder, doesn't want things to change, because he doesn't want his money affected to actually help the people he is pretending to defend.

Pros: - Losing talent because price of college too high - Trumps children did not go to public colleges - College is worth it - Unemployment rate (5.4% no college, associates 3.8%, bachelor's 2.6%) - African American unemployment rate (9.7% high school, 4% bachelors) - Fire spreading analogy - GI Bill return on investment for $6 on every dollar spent - Provide level of resources to elevate normal students (not Harvard ones) Cons: - We are not in favor of making college free for "Donald Trumps' kids" - Majority of college students come from families with above average incomes - 40% of students don't graduate within 6 years - Lowering cost of college encourages more people who are marginal academically - Private schools are supposedly better

Higher finance level private colleges want to keep it this way to keep the riff raff out of their playgrounds.

PhD in electromagnetism & sine waves is something I find most likely necessary for the next breakthrough in what I need in order to solve anti-gravity. Do all black people in America receive reparations or only those directly effected by slave trade? Who pays for it -- families directly related to the slave trades or tax payers? By taxes payers, do you mean everyone except black folk or only white folk? If white folk please clarify because I am Sicilian, Italian, and Irish which indicates I have no legacy in regards to owning slaves, but my people have been enslaved. If all black people receive reparations, would I conversely qualify to receive reparations from Northern African's, living in America, who slaughtering my Sicilian people? If no then why should only black folk receive reparations when my ascendants received the same ill treatment from Norther Africans who may be living in America? What makes you so special? I want justice as well.

College shouldn't be free in the US but it should definitely be reformed as to where the money is going. They really need to revamp the syllabus and include better and more relevant skills. I know kids graduating from engineering school who aren't even trained in basic commercial software that universities have the ability to get for free.

Intercollegiate athletics in the US are way out of whack. I know some people getting into university because of gymnastics or some shit and get tens of thousands of dollars worth of training. This really sets back academic research for people who WANT to do it.
