Thank you for this illuminating, but for Europeans (especially Ukrainians) very sombre, interview. What I miss is a review of the Western handling of the defeated, humilated and chaotic Russian Federation after the implosion of the Soviet Union, as the basic origin of this horrendous war. I think college should be free because. It can motivate people that go to public school specifically to keep going because they can have free college but even if college isn't free it should have a "trial" for college and see if they should go and if they do they can start getting money if they haven't been saving already.

We've been paying reparations for over 50 years. Affirmative action, hiring quotas, welfare, food stamps, lower testing requirements for college entrance, black only college scholarships, loans, and business loans, inflated grades for blacks in public schools and larger cities now, etc. It never ends and it will never be enough. College shouldn't be free in the US but it should definitely be reformed as to where the money is going. They really need to revamp the syllabus and include better and more relevant skills. I know kids graduating from engineering school who aren't even trained in basic commercial software that universities have the ability to get for free.

Intercollegiate athletics in the US are way out of whack. I know some people getting into university because of gymnastics or some shit and get tens of thousands of dollars worth of training. This really sets back academic research for people who WANT to do it.
